Candidate Statement Form: Regular Director

Academy nominations closed May 31, 2011.

Candidates for regular Director will normally have served the Academy or the actuarial profession by:

1.      Serving on Academy committees or task forces;

2.      Serving on the ABCD, or on the ASB or an ASB Committee;

3.      Serving on the Boards or committees of other actuarial bodies;

4.      Attainment of important stature in the insurance business, in actuarial consulting or in some other field of actuarial work, such as teaching.

In selecting the slate of candidates, emphasis should be placed on the candidates’ ability and willingness to serve the Academy. In this respect, most of the candidates should be possible future candidates for officers of the Academy.

The Nominating Committee, in the interest of continuing to foster the development of new Academy leaders, will give preference to those qualified members nominated to serve as Regular Directors on the Academy Board of Directors who have not previously served a full term as a Regular Director on the Academy Board of Directors.
