Dear Academy Colleague,

I am pleased to tell you that the Academy’s Nominating Committee has selected the slate of candidates for the four regular director positions that will be open on the Academy Board in November. These are the candidates to be offered in the upcoming membership election to be held online from 9:00 a.m. EDT on Aug. 31 through 11:59 p.m. EDT on Sept. 21:

• Elizabeth Brill
• Alice Fontaine
• Laurel Kastrup
• Allen Schmitz

Brill, Kastrup, and Schmitz are nominated to serve three-year terms expiring in 2018. Fontaine is nominated to serve the remaining one year of a three-year Board term expiring 2016 that is being vacated on Nov. 12.

Please be on the lookout: You’ll receive an email on Aug. 31 from Intelliscan, our election vendor, with the ballot and voting instructions. This email will come from electionadmin@intelliscaninc.net. If you haven’t already, please be sure to add this email address to your safe senders list so you’ll receive the email with the ballot and voting instructions.

Remember to check the Academy Board Election Center, which includes links to the Nominating Committee Guidelines for the candidates, as well as these candidates’ information, biographical information, and candidate statements. We encourage you to take part in selecting the newest leaders of the Academy who will help us fulfill our mission to serve the public and the U.S. actuarial profession.
