Dear Academy Colleague,

64.3 million Americans, more than one in four adults, volunteered their time through a formal organization (in 2011), the highest level in five years.

It’s no wonder given the numerous benefits of volunteering.  Not only does a volunteer get the satisfaction of sharing talent and time to make things better than they were. S/he also gets to connect to others while developing both personally and professionally.

As a volunteer-driven organization of more than 17,500 members, the Academy offers a wide-range of opportunities for actuaries in every practice area to volunteer to help strengthen the profession and weigh in on vital public policy issues.

Here you can indicate your interests, and should provide brief information about how your background or skills are a good fit for a particular committee. The survey will be open until Friday, May 24th.

Of course, all volunteers must acknowledge the Academy’s Conflict of Interest (COI) policy and acknowledge compliance with the U.S. Qualification Standards’ Continuing Education (CE) requirements in the survey.
