This 90-minute webcast includes a discussion of principle-related developments at the fall NAIC meeting. It is part of a series of webcasts on the Academy’s efforts to help develop a principle-based approach for regulating life reserves and capital.
About the webcast
The webcast will cover the latest principle-based reserving (PBR) developments
at the NAIC's Life and Health Actuarial Task Force (LHATF) and Life RBC Working Group, including:
- Discussion of recent AG VACARVM developments, including its approval by LHATF and by the Life Insurance and Annuities Committee, highlights of the final guideline, and proposed timeline for implementation
- Overview of the recent meeting of the LRBC Working Group and the development of C3 Phase III
- Status of the draft Standard Valuation Law as it moves closer to possible approval by LHATF
- Update from the Life PBR Subgroup and the status of the draft valuation manual
