This event, which follows the NAIC winter meeting, is part of a series of webcasts on the Life Practice Council's effort to develop a principles-based approach for regulating life reserves and capital. Topics covered will include the new C3 Phase 3 project for life RBC and an update from the Life Reserve Works Group.

Registration

The registration fee is $160 for Academy members and $200 for non-members.

Speakers

  • Donna Claire, chair of the Risk Management and Financial Soundness Committee (also called the SVL2 Steering Committee), which is overseeing the Academy project
  • Mike Boerner, a member of the C 3 Phase 2 Work Group and managing actuary at the Texas State Department of Insurance
  • Peter Boyko, a member of the Academy's Life Financial Soundness/Risk Management Committee and an NAIC actuary for Manulife Financial
  • Tom Campbell, chair of the Variable Annuity Reserve Work Group, which has developed a new reserving methodology for variable annuities
  • Dave Neve, co-chair of the Academy's Life Reserves Work Group
