Life Practice Council webcast

The Academy's Life Practice Council will present its fourth update on the Academy's principles-based initiative on Thursday, Sept. 28, 2006, from noon until 1:30 p.m. (Eastern).
Registration
Registration is closed.
Fees:The standard registration fee for the 90-minute webcast is $200. Academy members receive a discount, and may register for $160. The registration fee is waived for government actuaries and for reporters.
About the webcast
The webcast's speakers include two regulators who have been key forces in the principles-based initiative. The webcast also includes:
- Discussion of the role of principles-based peer review and of potential changes in governance to accommodate a principles-based regulatory approach
- A summary of the September meeting of the NAIC's Life and Health Actuarial Task Force (LHATF)
- A review of Life Reserves Work Group and Variable Annuity Reserves Work Group activities

Webcast participants can earn 1.5 Academy continuing education credits and 1.5 SOA professional development credits.
