Senior Pension Fellow Donald Fuerst
As the Academy's senior pension fellow, Donald Fuerst is the actuarial profession's chief policy liaison on pension, Social Security, and other retirement issues. He promotes the formulation of sound retirement policy by providing nonpartisan technical assistance to legislators and regulators.
Before joining the Academy, Fuerst was a senior partner and consulting actuary with Mercer's Denver office, where he advised corporate clients for more than 30 years on design, funding and compliance issues related to retirement programs. He is a member of the Academy, a fellow of the SOA, a fellow of the CCA, and an enrolled actuary.

Senior Health Fellow Cori Uccello
As the Academy's senior health fellow, Cori Uccello is the actuarial profession's chief policy liaison on health care issues. She promotes the formulation of sound health care policy by providing nonpartisan technical assistance to legislators and regulators. Uccello has prepared testimony and has authored, co-authored, and contributed to several Academy publications on various health-related issues. She has also participated in several briefings for congressional staff and other audiences. Uccello was appointed to the Medicare Payment Advisory Commission (MedPAC) in May 2010.
Before joining the Academy, she was a senior research associate at the Urban Institute, where she focused on health care and retirement issues. Uccello is a member of the Academy and a fellow of the SOA.

Senior Life Fellow Nancy Bennett
As the Academy's senior life fellow, Nancy Bennett is the actuarial profession's chief policy liaison on life insurance actuarial issues. Bennett works with regulatory and legislative officials at the state, federal and international levels to promote the formulation of actuarially sound public policy.
Before joining the Academy, she was vice president and head of enterprise risk management for Ameriprise Financial in Minneapolis. Bennett is a member of the Academy, a fellow of the SOA, and a chartered enterprise risk analyst.
