Principle-based reserving:
Nonvariable annuities

The Academy’s Annuity Reserve Work Group (ARWG) is working to develop principle-based reserving methods for all types of fixed (i.e., nonvariable) annuities in the United States. In this regard, it is the annuity counterpart to the Life Reserve Work Group, which is developing similar reserving methods for life insurance products.
