Principles-based reserving

The Academy’s Life Valuation Subcommittee (LVS) is in charge of the reserving aspects of the principles-based project, and it has formed working groups to address reserving in these three areas:

• Life insurance: The Life Reserves Work Group (LRWG)
• Variable annuities: The Variable Annuity Reserve Work Group (VARWG)
• Nonvariable annuities: The Annuity Reserves Work Group (ARWG)
