Risk-based capital

The Academy’s Life Capital Adequacy Subcommittee is in charge of the RBC aspects of the principles-based project, and it oversees the work groups that focus on these three areas:

• Life insurance: The C3 Phase 3 Life Capital Work Group
• Variable annuities: The C3 Phase II Variable Annuity Work Group
• Fixed annuities: The C3 Phase 3 Annuity Capital Work Group
