Presented by the Academy's Council on Professionalism, this free 90-minute webcast was designed to help actuaries prepare for the implementation of the revised Qualification Standards. About 1,000 actuaries participated. The webcast was offered as a service to the U.S. actuarial profession.
The Academy believes, in good faith, that The Revised Qualification Standards: What You Need to Know webcast qualifies as a "recognized organized activity" under the Qualification Standards for Prescribed Statements of Actuarial Opinion currently in effect.
Attendance at the Sept. 20, 2007, webcast, or viewing and listening to the entire recording of the webcast, may earn the participant 1.8 continuing education credits under the Qualification Standards for Prescribed Statements of Actuarial Opinion, depending upon the participant's practice area and other requirements set forth therein.
This webcast is cosponsored by the Conference of Consulting Actuaries, which is recognized by the Joint Board for the Enrollment of Actuaries as an approved CE provider. The webcast included a 60-minute presentation by a panel of experts and a 30-minute Q&A session.
