Academy Releases Study on Potential Health Care Savings of Reference Pricing

The Academy released a research study, Estimating the Potential Health Care Savings of Reference Pricing, which explores the possibility of using reference pricing to address health care costs, and builds upon existing research by estimating the impact of expanding reference pricing to a broader set of health care services.

Work Group Submits Follow-Up Letter on Exposed LRBC Growth Charge Proposal

The Life Operational Risk Work Group submitted a follow-up letter to the NAIC on the exposed Life Risk-Based Capital growth charge proposal. 

Vote on Two Proposed Amendments to the Academy Bylaws

October 29, 2018
Academy members are being asked to vote on two proposals to amend the Academy’s bylaws. Adoption of either or both of these proposals will require a two-thirds majority of members voting. The ballot and supporting materials are being sent via email to all members of the Academy who were members as of Oct. 22, or for those members without email or who have opted out of receiving email, by paper ballot. Voting closes at 11:59 p.m. EST on Nov. 9, 2018.
