The American Academy of Actuaries' will hold this Financial Summit to engage actuaries from all practice areas in mapping out our priorities and corresponding strategies as challenges and opportunities continue to emerge.

Through this Summit, we hope to:

• Develop consensus of Academy leadership and other actuarial thought leaders around the goals, priorities and the specific actions needed to achieve those goals;
• Brainstorm on emerging issues where the Academy’s involvement will be crucial, in either traditional practice areas or non-traditional areas, and develop long-term plans to respond in a thoughtful and timely manner;
• Strategize on ways to harness the necessary resources (volunteers, research capabilities, external expertise) to achieve these goals.
