Several work groups of the Life Practice Council submitted reports to the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC), including a report regarding the expected application of the federal income tax reserve rules to those life insurance companies that elect to use the three-year statutory transition provision for Life Principle-Based Reserves; an update on the development of new mortality tables; and a summary of public policy issues associated with life and annuity nonforfeiture reform.
