All members of the Academy are eligible to receive the award. Former Academy presidents may be nominated, but only their post-presidential service will be considered.

Eligibility requirements
Eligible candidates are members of the Academy who have:- demonstrated their commitment to professionalism;
- made an extraordinary contribution to the public good through service to the government or other organizations in the public sphere, even when conflicted by political pressure;
- been an inspiration to practicing actuaries; and
- commanded respect within and without the profession.
