New Director of Communications

The American Academy of Actuaries announced that Charity Sack will join the organization as its new director of communications on Jan. 22. In this role, Sack will oversee all aspects of the Academy’s communications to raise the profile of its members and support its initiatives to provide respected, unbiased actuarial advice on issues critical to implementing sound public policy.

LPC Comments on NAIC PBR Draft Implementation Plan

The Life Practice Council submitted a comment letter to the National Association of Insurance Commissioners' Principles-Based Reserving (E) Working Group with suggested changes to its November 2012 draft implementation plan for principle-based reserving of life insurance.
