Frederick O. Kist is the senior vice president and chief actuary for Kemper Insurance Cos., responsible for Kemper's statistical/actuary functions.
Kist has over 27 years of industry experience, including senior management positions within insurance companies and consulting. Prior to joining Kemper, he was CNA's senior actuarial officer responsible for assisting and leading corporate projects, actuarial governance over CNA's pricing processes, and professional and staff development.
Kist co-chairs the Academy's Catastrophe Management Work Group and is a member of the Academy's Casualty Practice Council. He is also a fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS).
Steven G. Lehmann is the Academy's vice president for casualty and is a principal and consulting actuary with Miller, Herbers, Lehmann, & Associates, Inc., a leading actuarial consulting firm.
Lehmann has testified before numerous legislative and regulatory bodies on a variety of insurance matters, including ratemaking and risk classification. He is both the immediate past president and chairman of the CAS Board of Directors. He is a fellow of the CAS, the Society of Actuaries, and the Canadian Institute of Actuaries.
Rade T. Musulin is the vice president actuary for the Florida Farm Bureau Insurance Cos., overseeing the company's legislative affairs and industry relations.
He served on the Senate Ad Hoc Working Group on Federal Natural Disaster Insurance, has testified before Congress on federal catastrophe reinsurance, and was extensively involved in legislative reform of the Florida Hurricane Catastrophe Fund. He has served on that fund's advisory council and the Florida Windstorm Association Actuarial Committee since the early 1990s. He will chair the Florida Insurance Council in 2001-2002.
Musulin chairs the Academy's Communications Review Committee and is an associate of the CAS.
Warren Tryon serves as the senior legislative assistant for Rep. Spencer Bachus (R-Ala.) on issues before the House Banking and Financial Services Committee. Tryon has been a congressional aide for almost a decade. Prior to his current position, he worked for Rep. Rick Hill (R-Mont.), a former insurance agent, handling banking and insurance issues.
